The creation of an unbiased Canadian Ombudsperson for Accountable Enterprise (CORE) was introduced in January 2018. The CORE shall be mandated to research allegations of human rights abuses linked to Canadian company exercise overseas. The CORE will search to help wherever attainable in collaboratively resolving disputes or conflicts between impacted communities and Canadian firms.
